    Another TL1-TB.......

I started doing the body, so I figured I would start the build thread. The tremolo is being worked on, so I'll post the link to that thread later today.
Sanded it down a bit, and put some very diluted black keda dye on it last night to accentuate the grain. Still deciding on a color, but I was messing around the other day and made the orange. Sooooo orange! Going to do a sample of that with the diluted black grain thing......Click image for larger version.

Well......... it didn't go orange...... at all......
I was thinking a dark tinted orange, but the grain didn't take the grain darkening and dye like my sample board......at all! It turned into a color that I didn't even take a pic of. Some kind of pale green tint. With an orange hue to it.
Sanded back, and covered it with blue dye. I'll see how it dries, but it looks great. Right now.

Sanded back a touch more. Back of the body got a coat of pickled oak stain to darken the grain a touch. Haven't decided on the color to follow that up yet. Having fun. You should do the same. Click image for larger version.

Going to stick with the pickled oak. One or two more applications. Do the neck in a similar fashion. Blue jeans and blonde. The black pickup rings may get changed though. The binding is white.......donno. I'll see how they look. It's the only black plastic on the whole guitar. LolClick image for larger version.
