Sooo...today this project kind of came to light in the fact that I got it stringed up and it played beautifully. It is something that has been slowly progressing and I have loathe to take photos along the way thinking it probably wouldn't make light of day. I was progressing until I could string it up and test the proof of concept. Well, it passed with flying (V) colours so I'll introduce it here.
This idea is a mash up of left over Pitbull components. Hating to put anything to waste. A hard tail Strat body that has had a previous role in a different project. An LP (set) neck that was a spare from my LP1E build. Both items had some serious shop wear, but nothing that can't be macgyvered back to life - ghetto style.
Had to amend the heel of the neck to make it Strat and subsequently bolt on compatible. Some extra wood and muchos shaping. Cut off the very last fret to make it fit and clear the neck pickup. Headstock has added wood to get it to a flying V shape.
Went for a Jazzmaster trem system with TOM roller bridge, cause why not. And 2 P90s along with a hotrail HB in the middle. Yes, some sort of true Franken bitch I know. But I present it here for your viewing pleasure.
Thinking of a metallic blue with black and chrome highlights. We will see how it turns out.
