I got a very pleasant surprise when my bass kit arrived home before Christmas. It had been on backorder for a while but I thought that the current situation would hold it up until 2022.
Initial inspection was all good and after more than a week settling in I did a mock build and drilled the holes for the bridge.
Then got to work shaping the headstock, I'm going for something similar to the Tele build I did last year.
Finish - not 100% sure yet but probably going for a black finish to match my squier strat. I'm assuming it'll be a rattle can job. Neck will be natural (probably Tru-oil again).
I used the Super-cheap Auto cans to do the headstock on the SG build. It worked well on a small area. Will they be suitable for a whole body??

I'll post pictures soon and more progress updates.
