    Chipped headstock repair

Just got an IB-6S kit in the mail. The headstock is chipped. The chip fits back where it belongs. Can this be glued back in place? If so, with what type of glue? What's your method of repairing something like this? Thanks.

Titebond would be my go to. If, as you say, it fits neatly, then it should hopefully be almost imperceptible.

The piece split in two while I was fidddling with it. Went with super glue. I have a tiny line where the corner split off the chip. Turned out good enough for me. There is spalting right at the glue line, so it's certainly hidden. Big sigh of relief.

+1 for titebond, and I would tape it to the headstock (or use elastic bands) to hold it in place.

Sorry, just realised I posted my answer to this subject in your other thread about scale length.

One reason keeping all threads relevant to a particular build in one place.

Since you've already done the repair, there's no point in me adding it here.

She's a beaut!........ can't even tell it was chipped. The headstock is soooo much prettier than the body, but I'll be o.k. Time to start another build thread..........oh darn!
