    Ash body marks against the grain

    Hi guys my first Tele build and there are these weird marks against the grain of the body are they normal ?

    Hi Chris,
    I cannot find the thread link to help with pictures.
    But,
    click "Go Advanced" at the bottom of the reply.
    Scroll down to "Additional Options",
    Select "Manage Attachments" - and a new window will appear.
    Then upload your picture files in the new window. Make sure the file size is not to large otherwise they will not load.
    Select "upload",
    then "submit reply" at the bottom of the reply window.

    I hope this helps.

    What’s the model of kit you ordered? You mentioned ash, but that doesn't look very much like ash to me. The grain pattern looks too fine.

    Hi Simon yes it was suppose to be Ash I thought the same thing ! looks nothing like I thought. I was planning on using the ceruse method but that's not gonna go on this body. I believe I order the TLA1 model I made sure it was suppose to be the Ash body

    That looks like basswood to me. I'd contact PBG and show them the pics.

    Thanks guys yeah I'm thinking basswood to. I have contacted pbg let's see wat they say !

    Weigh it and check it against the density of ash. even lighter than normal ash is not going to be as light as basswood.

    Hi Rabbit not sure if my reply went through. Woodwork is new to me how would I go about doing this check
