    Cool Hello

Hi guys just introducing myself totally new to forum type things but I have put together a few guitars I like Pitbull guitars and have so far 3 Forgot the model numbers but they were a SG junior type, a double cut bolt on neck junior type and a Strat type. Anyway I bought a GTL american ash body and will get this together soon I may have some questions about either drilling for through body string setup or just having strings top loaded through the bridge plate. Any comments would be appreciated.

    Hi and welcome.

Top loading is supposed to give a bit less bass and a slightly brighter, janglier sound than through-body stringing. Jimmy Page's Tele on Led Zep 1 and 2 was a top loader. I'd say the differences were subtle rather than very noticeable. The saddle material will make a much bigger difference to the sound.
