Thread: ES-1GT depth

    Question ES-1GT depth

    Hey all

    Just a quick question.
How thick/thin is the body of a ES-1GT? The site says 8cm but that seems wrong to me.
I have previously built a ES-1GT,which the site says is 8cm, and I find it too wide. Pictures of the ES-1GT make it look a lot thinner.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers

I’m away from my ES-1 this weekend, but I’d imagine it’s probably 7cm. The body depth at the sides I’d estimate to be at least 3cm, and the top and bottom are both quite arched. So at the bridge area, it could be up to 7cm, and maybe 8cm if you include the bridge itself.

    Cheers. That makes sense.

    Right, back home now.

The thickest part of the ES-1 is just slightly behind the bridge and it does measure 8cm deep. With the bridge fitted, the depth goes up to 10cm.
