DingoBass made this guitar and it just hit me that I had to have one.....


so i started snooping around the internet and found that i was quite attracted to the SG with deep bevels....like this




so here we go......

i have been obsessing over seymour duncan p-rails for about 6 months now. I really like the idea of tripleshot pickup rings also.
maybe this guitar could have "all the tones"?????????

I had a P-Rails on the neck of one guitar, though it was only set up for two sounds, not three, and I was never quite sure what those sounds were because I didn't wire it. Probably humbucker and P-90. But it sounded great and they are very good pickups.

To me they just look a bit awkward on a guitar, both in black and in cream. It's probably possible to fit a nickel cover on them. A solid cover and drill the holes for the P-90 screws yourself, as they won't be in the same place as on a standard humbucker, they'll be more central. But that's just me.

Gotta admin.... i have been stalking your double sg build which was the incentive for me to look at the photo galleries of finished SG's.... your finishes are gorgeous (damn you, you're a bad influence!!!!)

Back to the body: currently the weight of the body is 1.070kg.
I am going to try and get some deep bevels cut into this body and wonder how light i can get it???.....

Scale length is correct with the neck firmly pressed all the way back in the pocket. And that makes the neck pickup very snug. All cool.

I'd set your saddles forwards and remeasure the scale length. It's very easy to run out of backwards intonation adjustment on the low strings, especially on the ABR-1 type T-O-M bridges which have less travel than the Nashville style.

The finish on my SG will be coming off as it's full of small bubbles under the finish. They seem to have grown with time. Looks OK from a distance but awful close up. And I may well fill and redrill the bridge post holes in the correct place rather than even try and use my offset post inserts. If it wasn't for those pesky bubbles I'd have got away with the finish on it [/Scooby Doo mode].
