This one is making me Build itchy. Need to book some leave and spend it doing nothing but woodworking and playing guitar.

Been a while. I’ve used some Livos Kunos countertop oil, then Bivos oil wax. Lovely to work with. Longer curing time

Skipping ahead to some mock-up ideas. I have a Wilkinson half Tele bridge on order which I may use instead. I’ll also probably get something more chrome for the middle pick up.

    Looking good dozy!

I have to admit though, when I saw the new photos, my first thought was "cheese board" .
    I must be hungry...

Then I thought you could use the pickups as a magnetic holder for the cheese knife.
    I must be really hungry...

Hmmm... I think there's a block of aged cheddar in the fridge...

    Jokes aside, it looks great.

Looks really good. Could use a single coil pickup ring to give the additional chromage

Yeah I was thinking about that as an option.

I’ve borrowed the middle from another project, so I need to acquire another one anyway.

I might also mock up a pick guard to see if that will break it up in a nice way.

Change of direction (but more in keeping with the source material), I mocked up a pick guard. I think I’ll also go with the matt black look.
