    Greetings from the US!

Hello! I studied guitar for years. I even took lessons in college, but I never really got anywhere. I quit ten years ago, realizing I just was not improving. My guitars sat in their cases through several moves and life changes. I randomly found a cheap bass and started playing at 40 years old and actually started progressing. Now, at 45, am slowly spelunking into the luthiery rabbit hole. I worked for a master carpenter installing kitchens in my 20s and learned quite a bit, though I am no master myself. I am starting with kit basses with the eventual goal of building my own. I have to, I already bought the wood! I am sure I will be asking a few questions on this forum, thanks for welcoming me!

Hi and Welcome Toolman, with your experience I'm sure you won't have to ask too many questions, but if you do there is usually somebody here who can help.
