Well it has been a week, left the lacquer to harden, sanded with 1,3 and finally 10K wet and dry.
Left to harden, used a medium compound and finished with T Cut scratch remover.
Buffed with a pad in a hand drill.
Looks good to me, starting to install hardware.......don't want to spoil that top with scratches......

Nice! I'm not a fan of gold hardware on my own guitars due to how it wears, but it always looks great when brand new & shiny!

The gold absolutely suits that guitar. Those pickup rings a pretty specky! (that's spectacular in Australian)

Agreed, looks great. Gold parts are also a bit spenno (that's expensive in Australian).

That must be a west coast thing... east coast we say "exy".

Got back from my Narrowboat holiday along the Kennet and Avon canal and pushed on to finish No 2.
The lacquer is nice and hard, left alone for 10 days and looking rather good to me.
Fitted the pups and wiring which was even easier than No 1.
As you can't see, quite a lot of wires in the sound hole.
The pups are individually switched 3 way - Series, Single Coil and Parallel Humbuckers.
Plenty of sounds to play with.
Spent a couple of hours sorting the neck, nut and intonation.
Not glued the neck in, will leave it a couple of weeks to settle in.

And there you have it....not one but two GPR-1M guitars both with different finishes.
Not sure which I like the best haha.
Thanks to Pitbull for their help in resolving the quality issues and also everyone here your
    comments and help as always.

Beautiful finish. I'd be happy with that.
