That red looks fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the final finish.

Thanks. The body is coming up better than I hoped for. Starting to look really good. Got a couple of the intensifying coats on and got a fraction darker in the red which made the lighter grain stand out. Not quite how I was picturing it but am liking it a lot. Got a few days off so hoping to get a clear coat or two over it by the end of the week.
Will get a couple more pics up once that is done.

Had a go at wiring it today on a template of the body to the pit bull instructions - have got a buzzing that stops when either the master tone or master volume is turned down. “Tap test” with screw driver worked on pickups well tho. Ran out of time before work. Will have to re-visit that one tomorrow.

ID:	39593so this is yesterday’s effort on the body - a couple of clear coats over the dingo process. No rub back yet. Probably a couple more coats and a final polish will see me pretty happy I reckon. Still undecided on the neck.

Wiring is doing my head in. Checked diagram and resoldered and checked all connections with multi meter at least once. Still got same issue with buzzing. Stopping when either master volume or master tone turned right down??? Anyone got any ideas? Solder is now looking a bit messy for my liking but will tidy that up with next go at it.

Oh that is looking superb Rossco! I love the grain feature on the back, some really nice shine there too. Great Job!

    Very nice!

What are you using for the clear?

I'm not really a hollow body fan, but that's definitely a looker!

The clear is Cabots exterior in gloss. I have used this before on a few timber pool table parts and once it has properly cured does not seem to attract dust or finger prints any more than any other finish. Thanks for the comments.
