    Hi everyone,
Just getting started with a JM1 after having it sitting under the bed for about 5 years. Does anyone have any experience with fitting the posts for the bridge.
I own a Danelectro with a similar bridge so I can see how it should look, but the bases for the posts that need to go into the body are REALLY tight and I don't want to try and force them for fear of cracking or splitting the top.

Welcome aboard Rob, feel free to start a build diary, it's good to have all your questions, answers and progress in one thread.

To answer you specific question here, chuck the post receivers in the freezer for 15/20mins to shrink them and then just tap them in with a suitable drift and hammer.

Thanks for getting back to me.
Realized after I posted that I actually had some paint build up in the holes in the body. I got a 3/8 drill bit and turned it slowly by hand and that was enough to get them in with some light tapping.
I'm sure I'll be back for more suggestions as I progress.
    Thanks again.
