Hello,

First time builder here from Reading in England - I have a TL-1HA inbound. My plan is to use the stock hardware and if I don't totally trash it then I'll upgrade to CTS/switchcraft electronics and SD phat cat pups.

There's so much conflicting advice on the internet about finish that I'm finding that slightly daunting!

But I'm looking forward to getting into guitar building!

Welcome mate. Dont fret, you have plenty of time to research and think about it. Dont rush your build, worst mistake ever.
When you have decided the type of process you want to go through, i.e. quick coatbuild up, slower drying finishes, high shine vs matt or satin, then the boys will guide you all the way. Welcome.
