This is Massimo (Max for the most, BetaMax for a few) from Saronno (Italy). Not addicted to alcohol, Saronno is just the town where they created the "Amaretto" liquor (or "DiSaronno Original" as it is called nowadays).
From the "BetaMax" nick you can also understand I'm not that young... (I was around my 15 when that magnetic tape came on the market).
I'm new to guitar building, but a bit used to woodworking. I read some books and a lot of info around the net, and I even thought to build a guitar from scratch, but then I noticed I was continuously postponing construction because I was not sure about the results.
So at last decided starting from a kit would help me learn a lot (and maybe prepare for the next step...), but with definitely more reliable results.
I chose a ST as a first build... and she is arriving in a few days. Looking forward to that!
I'm especially worried about the painting phase, so I will be asking here and there, for sure!
