    stuck floyd rose stud

one ofmy floyd rose studs is stuck.
i think if i hammer it in i might break or crack the wood.
it's out of the wood about 3mm

    what can i do?
is it normal to cut the top part with a dremel tool, maybe?
or do i usea clamp to press to try to squeeze it in more?

If you can find a bolt with the same thread, use a piece of wood with a hole in it and a couple of blocks. Make like a little house over the post receiver with the blocks and the flat bit with the hole. Feed the bolt through the hole into the post receiver. Tighten it up, the bolt will stop up against the piece of wood with the hole in is and gradually pull the post receiver out.

To install, chuck them in the freezer for 15 mins to shrink them a bit. Then tap in with a mallet/drift.

Here's a quick diagram of the general idea for post removal.

    that worked great!

i measured and the post is 0.16mm wider than the hole. hope it shrinks enough in the freezer
