Thread: Tru oil with a waterslide decal

    Cool, I'll test the clear I have first, if it doesn't work then I'll get a can of that then. That's also the spray recommended by the place I ordered it from.

    Suggest at least a couple of coats of finish on headstock face then apply the waterslide decal, allow to dry, then hit it with rattle can white knight clear gloss acrylic - only one coat and allow several days to fully cure and dry. Plenty of coats of your preferred finish over the top should help to flatten the waterslide decal edges. TO works well in this situation.

    Best to cut around the logo or decal image first to remove as much of the 'clear' edges as possible to try and eliminate them from showing up under the clear acrylic coat before applying to headstock.
