    D hole guitar

This will be a long time in the making.
Some tools started to arrive while I was away camping with the family.
Note the blank spine on my D hole guitar book, obviously catering for the discreet builder.
I’ll post the jigs and stuff I build as I go.
I expect I’ll start off using cheap timber to begin with (ie, pine) and switch over to better woods once I’m happy everything works out as it should.
Watch this space if you are interested.
    Regards,
    DarkMark.

An elaborate ploy to acquire yet another guitar.
Smuggle it in bit by bit.
    Now I'm learning.

    cheers, Mark.

You will not regret the Shinto rasp. Igor and I shall watch on with great interest. Or, Interetht in Igor’s case.

I know you’ve endorsed this product in the past for shaping your necks...from memory, which was influential in my decision to buy it.

In case I accidentally slip and buy a Shinto rasp one day, which size is recommended?

    No idea.
I’ve gone for the larger size.
On one YouTube video the guy sanded off the smooth red finish on the handle and found it more comfortable. Something to keep in mind.

get the larger one Dozy, it’s about 25cm long and it is quite easy to work even on hard maple.
oh, and wear gloves. Even if it’s just on your forward (guiding) hand. Your palm heel will thank you.
