    Guitar Building Competition

Crimson Guitars is running a guitar building competition in 2021, one for kits and one for scratch builds. Figured some of the builders here may be interested in something like this. If anything it's going to be a good place to get some extra inspirado.

I think Sonic should chuck in an entry and do one of his scratch builds.

I agree, but your current strat build ain't too shabby either! That Sheoak fretboard is award worthy on it's own!

One of our members here entered the 2020 comp, can't remember who though...

Heh, thanks for the endorsement guys. I'll have a bit of a look at it later on and see how feasible it is.

    EDIT:Yeah.. I think I'll have a crack at it. Now..what to build?

Well I am currently thinking about a no pickguard, sparkly blue top, bound, natural wood body with twin P90's.

But also tossing up doing a really contoured Deluxester in surf green, P90's and maybe a white pearloid pickguard?

I have literally just sent an order to Australian guitar timbers for some neck blanks...

I am kind of in love with my Offset shape, but I also really want to build the V2.0 and see how it comes out. So I think regardless of finish and format, it will be a Deluxster 2.0 build.

Maybe I'll actually sell this one ...

I have actually been working a lot on various design iterations, this is a good opportunity to actually try the V2 plans and see how they come out.

But I will say this has some serious merit.
