    If the hole for the jack is there you only need a big enough hole for a single core shielded wire so 6.5mm (1/4") will be plenty

    Thanks for the suggestions on fixing and the support from the users here. I appreciate the positive vibes!

    Seems like it's pretty close and I can just drill in the connection to the input jack, yeah? I'm not sure what it's supposed to look like, but if I just need to feed a wire from the input jack to the area for the electronics, then I should be good.

    My daughter has done some initial sketches and is going to work on painting. She's taking it slow. I started up a build thread to try and keep track of the progress when we make some. Right now, she's testing paint swatches. Might be a bit until we get to the next step.

    Well that's a happy, friendly looking octopus! I was expecting (don't know why) a scary, agro octopus...
    Your girl has talent. If drew it, it be more of a "stick" octopus.

    I'm quite sure this is a record for consecutive number of times I have typed the word octopus in my life...
