Sooooo this is a $5.00 chunk of recycled nameless blonde scrap wood that was intended to be the boring inter layer between two layers of Zebrano.
Might have to shelve that plan and think of some other awesomeness to perpetrate with this chunk.

It looks interesting at 1st glance, but to me it looks like all the action would be in the centre where the neck and pickups and bridge are going to cover and hide a lot of the figuring. It's all going to be down to relative size and position which is hard to tell without any reference. Maybe cut a body shaped hole out from cardboard, lay it on the wood with some card pickup and bridge bits and see what you think?
Or maybe even a 4-piece top using only the centre sections?
