At least it was a bolt-on neck, making it a lot easier to replace the rod as you don't need to have to unglue the neck form the body first.
Did it get fixed?
I found a guy who was experienced in repairing and refinishing old guitars, gave the owner their contact details, but I don’t think anything happened.

I may have to re-examine the idea that there are no Eko collectors in the in the USA. I listed my case on Reverb at about 9PM for about the same price that the last three cases like it sold for. By midnight I had a sale. Maybe I should suggest to Adam that the next kits should be Eko clones...
It will probably have been bought by someone who ships them over to Europe and sells then for a huge profit.
I think even the Chinese would have problems sourcing all the weird switches used on those Ekos! And they wouldn’t look the same fitted with a standard Strat-style trem or Bigsby-alike.
You may be right. He clearly deals in funky looking vintage electric guitars. Could be he'll increase the value of one of them by putting it in an authentic case. And the world goes round... ;-)
Hi fender3x,
Regarding your Eko case, I thought you might be interested in my Eko bass and case, I bought this early 70's and still have it, my first bass. A previous owner painted the face of the body black (very badly ) it has a red pearl under it, I should do a post here about the best way to remove / restore the face. The rear has a white pearl.
The case is not in good condition but it is genuine.
