    Gorgeous!
Very jealous. If that was available at the time when I bought mine I would definitely have sprung for that.
Looks wonderful! Any thoughts on finish? Or is it too early to decide that?

Very nostalgic for me as I had an Ibanez one back in the early 80’s. I’ll watch with interest.

It was a lucky find. If it had come up a couple of weeks later it would've been too late as the original kit I ordered would've arrived.

I'm going to stain it with Dingotone. Kajirini Red (https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/...-karijini-red/)
I'm planning a colourless finish on the neck.

I've always wanted an Iceman and thought they were out of my price range. Can't wait to finally own one. I just hope that I do it justice!

Yip. I'm very happy. The neck is a tight fit but I would rather that than too slack. I'll leave it until the weekend to settle and acclimatise before I do the proper mock build. Then again, I have a busy weekend coming up so it might have to wait until the following week.

The body and neck are both mahogany. https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/...ustom-special/
I too can't wait to see how it turns out. I just hope I am patient and don't rush it.

When I did my FVB-4 with Dingotone, the intensifying coat took quite a while (nearly 2 weeks) to dry - it was winter and I had it in a room heated to 22 degrees C. That did test my patience a bit.

Dingotone does seem very variable in how long it takes to dry. It needs just the right conditions to dry quickly. To cold, or hot or humid and it can take months. As it was developed in Perth, Perth seems to have the best sort of climate for using it in, but even then it can be fickle stuff by all the accounts I've read on here.
