Looking good. I personally prefer the P90 un-surrounded. I think it goes well with the bridge as is.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
Thanks guys, it was a bit of a job getting the top good, as you can see in earlier pics the veneer had holes right through. Firstly I Grain filled the top with Timber mate wood filler and filled up those deep holes. Then I sanded the top off with 400 grit to get it nice and smooth.
Then I gave it a coat of Feast Watsons sanding sealer and sanded it with a 600 grit. When I was happy with that I gave it many coats of Feast WatsonÂ’s gloss wipe on poly, with sanding and wet sanding between coats. The sanding sealer was magic, it hardens up all the loose fibres of the wood and makes it easy to get a good surface for painting. Unfortunately I sanded through the finish a couple of times but got better with every extra application of poly.
