The binding on the top looks OK, its just right at the end where it meets the neck that’s a little rough. I have a couple of thoughts on a fix, but will depend on what finish is chosen. I’ll post up some pics of that area a little later on.

Send me a PM if you are going with gold hardware. I may have some options for you for a trapeze if you need.
I think we’ll be sticking with the chrome at the moment, but good to know, cheers.

Yes, the flame is very nice and the match job is pretty good as well. I think a trapeze will be the easiest solution. I am hoping to push him in the direction of ‘keep it simple’, but I guess we’ll see.

OK well, this should be interesting. He has decided he wants something along the lines of this:

Which is pretty cool, but obviously a very different guitar, so it will be 'inspired by' rather than a duplication. I'll do a brown burst and then satin poly and let him take care of the relicing.

Ordered a few bits and pieces, a simple trapeze stop tail, roller bridge and some adapter ferrules for some locking 3+3 vintage style gotohs I have here. Will probably swap the nut out as well I think.

I've sent him away to think about headstock shape and logo now.

Don't suppose anyone has a black scratch plate to suit they'd be happy to part with?

That's quite a nice looking guitar. I have been very very tempted to buy a kit like that (single cut ES-350 / Gretsch Streamliner hollow body). Shall be following the build.

Sonic may have a scratch plate and possibly a silver tailpiece in my parts stash from an old kit will have a look this arvo. If I can find em you can have them.

Oh cool, I've already ordered a tail piece, but if you have a spare scratch plate that'd be great.

Failing that, I have definitely got a black scratchplate from my recent ES-1GT build if you can wait for the post from UK.
With mounting bracket although it is gold, not chrome.

Cheers, thanks for the offer. Probably just as easy to order one here.

    Hi Sonic

I have two of the ES style guards and if you want something a little different I have a Carbon fiber one off a Schecter Tempest that I have no interest of ever fitting that may be adaptable. Will also have the attachment brackets/screws also

Let us know if you want
