It's that ambiguity that greatly annoys me about these attempts to be cute with a serious subject.

Adult gator? Juvenile? Monster-sized behemoth? At least the latter is on the safe side.

Disclaimer: I haven't done woodwork since high school, and wasn't really paying attention at the time ...

We gotta be different. It's in our nature.

Best advice is to maintain 2m/6ft distance, unless the person is carrying an adult alligator or kangaroo, in which case just avoid them altogether.

Is keep 1 alligator an instruction? Surely there's a H&S risk right there?

Like most Floridians, I hadn't thought of that. But I think you're right. It can't be good for the alligators.

Plus once you get above two people, you always need at least the same number of alligators as the number of people present. If it's a relatively crowded public area, you'll quickly run out of alligators. Though the number of people may also decrease quite quickly, alleviating the issue.

You may be right. Florida is the 3rd most populous state for people, but first most populous for alligators. Smart Floridians might be better off measuring things in metric kangaroos, like the rest of the world.

They have an excess of Burmese Pythons though don't they? If they slice the snakes into standard lengths that would kill two problems at once...

Yes, all manner of exotic reptiles, as it turns out. You may be onto something. Are you sure you don't live here?
