They are basically good kits. I'm really happy with mine. Unless the kits have been updated in the interim since I received mine (Adam should have been onto the factory about them), you'll probably find three small issues, easily correctable.

    1. No earth wire hole drilled for bridge or tailpiece grounding

    2. Truss rod cover supplied is a 2-hole G-style bell-shaped truss rod cover and the kit needs a 3-hole truss rod cover, as there isn't any wood for the nut-end screw to go into.

    3. Both of my 'G' series AG kits (GSJ and GSM), and a few other current builds on the forum, have had issues with a pin (used to locate the fretboard in place whilst it's glued on) sticking out the end of the fretboard and pushing the nut away from the end of the fretboard so that it's at an angle, with a gap at the low-E end.

The wood used is very light, but you should have either a one-piece or a well matched two-piece body.

All the best with your new build.

Thanks for the heads-up @Simon Barden you are a legend! I have been busy making music and testing out my newly acquired bass and have now laid the bass track track on my latest album - what a difference it makes. I recorded drums, guitar, vocals, and now bass - where is the cloning machine?!? The kit has arrived, but I have not started it. Your message pushed me into opening the box and it was like Christmas as I also ordered a bunch of tools. You are right, the body is super light Once I have a plan of attack, I will start. I have a few ideas
