    pickup problems

i have just connected my pickups to the rest of the electronics and i plugged it into my amp but no sound was made when i strummed it but there is noise from the amp when i tap the pickups themselves. i am hoping that someone can help explain what is happening.

We need clear photos showing all the guitar wiring to even have a hope of debugging this. Or at least I do. Someone else may just know what these symptoms indicate.

That is very curious. I agree that we'll need photos to debug, but it seems weird that the pickups pass the tap test and then make no sound.

Were you tap testing with the guitar laying down and then playing standing/sitting up? I was thinking maybe something could be disconnecting or grounding itself when you move the guitar, but honestly without pics it's hard to know

+1 on pics, but does the volume control work when doing the tap test?
