You're right , it's a hollow body with a small block under the bridge.

That ES-5V does look lovely... I never considered mahogany as an option, but I think I can see one in my (distant) future! I fell in love with Dedman's green build, and it's always been niggling in the back of my mind that I'd love to try one on for size.
