You may need to rout the pickup cavity out a bit more if you fit a humbucker as you need to allow for the mounting legs and the adjustment screws. Most humbuckers these days come with short legs, but some will be in the style the older Gibson pickups that had much longer legs, and so needed much deeper pickup routs. I'd make sure you get one with the shorter legs as they are far easier to accommodate. And if a single coil, then you'll probably have to drill some holes for the mounting screws to fit into.
