That's what I like about this forum, whether my advice is fairly good or totally bonkers, people are still respectful and polite about it. That's are rare thing online these days.
Mantra: No more pedals, must finish BlueyCaster...
Disclaimer: I haven't done woodwork since high school, and wasn't really paying attention at the time ...

Agreed, overall this forum is one of the best I've ever been a part of. I only have one wish, I wish for more scratch builds haha.

@FW and Juggers - unfortunately its the Dunning-Kruger effect for me.

I recently left a forum because I had a "disagreement" with an "Amateur Luthier" when I posted what I thought to be a helpful post as the fellow had the exact problem that I had in a build which I made a mistake on. Said "Amateur Luthier" promptly informed me that I didn't know what I was talking about and threw a bunch of physics articles at me and in his opinion meant that meant there would be no problem for the poor fellow.

I still have that guitar with the same problem and its on my list of things to fix which is physical proof that his articles were wrong in application.

people disagree on this forum all the time, though they tend to do it in a more diplomatic manner, and both can walk away from it without a massive blue.
The back and forth is often filled with all sorts of information that others can assess and make their own conclusions from as is relevant to their own builds.

Not sure I need to start anymore scratch builds Woltz!

    Nice burst finish Andy.

Mate if that's your first go at a burst, you haven't left yourself much room for improvement. I mean, holy cow that's a sexy beast. You fellas are truly an inspiration to a new comer like myself

I just got caught up on this thread... good stuff there Andy.

Hah! I to google it, but that's funny!!!

I'd like to hear those pickups sometime.
BTW, with the corona restrictions relaxing, I'll be starting up harmonica lessons again if you want to PM me.

One of my kits died because of dunning-kruger also. A while back i listened to a podcast on the dunning-kruger effect. Interesting stuff.
I think that the only time i would be bothered is if i was going in for an operation under a general.

One of my fave combos. Tru oil on the back of the neck dingowax on the fretboard. The first is the before pic. The second is where frets one to three are waxed
