    Silver vinyl or decal

    Hey guys,

Does anyone have an idea where I might get a custom logo either cut in silver vinyl or as a metallic silver decal (In Oz)?

I've spent all day trawling the web, and the only sites that came up that seemed like they'd do what I wanted were overseas and postage was killer.

It's entirely possible I'm just failing at the google...

Dr Decal and Mr Hyde do custom metallic silver (or gold) decal printing. They are based in Sydney.

    Perfect! Thanks so much.

Somehow I had been to their site but not managed to find that service.

No worries. A couple of things in their menu are a bit weird to find.

They also sell metallic decal paper for DIY, but the process looks a bit fiddly to me compared to the standard printed decals.

I think that's the page I first came across when I found their site.

Last time I tried making my own with screenprinted foils, which was such a PITA and cost a fortune, though it worked. Much easier to just pay some dollarydoos (and the screenprinting studio is locked down anyway, so I couldn't get in to do that again even if I wanted to).

I just put an order in with them for the Blueycaster logo. I have had mixed success printing decals on my laser printer. The paper is too thick, causing randomly smeared toner. The randomness is the worst part. I have to fill a page with the same decals in the hope I get at least one usable one.

I had that issue when I tried printing the black one for the Vadercaster, and ended up getting a friend to cut it on his vinyl cutter. He doesn't have any silver vinyl though for this one, ha ha

You could buy the vinyl from Graphic Art Mart https://www.gamart.com.au/ and give it to your friend to cut. They are super awesome to deal with and very quick to get your order out.
