    Fanned frets?

This I know is out there a bit, but a kit like the EX-5 would be an excellent candidate to create a poor man's Dingwall...

Not sure I'd entirely trust the factory with a fan fret build. I'm sure I've seen someone on here do one though by replacing the fretboard, which sounds scary, but is actually pretty doable if you are patient.
    Build 1 - Shoegazer MK1 JMA-1
    Build 2 - The Relliecaster TL-1
Build 3 - The Black Cherry SG AG-1
    Build 4 - The Sonicaster TL-1ish
    Build 5 - The Steampunker Bass YB-4
    Build 6 - The Howling Gowing ST-1

Yeah it would be cool, but given the level of instruction that you have provide, plus the fact that it still can get misinterpreted, I think a multi scale is probably beyond the factory capabilities.
Your best bet is probably a scratch build, if you are dead set keen on doing one. It would be a cool project though.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
