Dayum. Do you need a special glue to laminate the veneer?
I don't know what I'm doing but I hope I will end up with a guitar

There are special glues out there but I use Titebond Premium. Titebond seems to be the preferred wood glue for building guitars.
Even coat and then firm pressure for 24 hours.
I am also building a 335 replica from scratch (see separate thread) and I used Titebond for applying the quilted veneer to the top plywood as well.

    Cheers

I have to say, this might be the first purple guitar I've liked! It's a really nice piece of work.

    Thanks Drew.
I have to admit though, it was not an original idea of mine.
This was the inspiration for the build.

To be fair, that is a pretty inspiring build!
