Thread: PBG-BN4RF Fretless neck compatibility

    Question PBG-BN4RF Fretless neck compatibility

    Greetings,

I have combed the forum and the website to no avail of answering my question. I'm interested in buying a YB-4 electric bass kit, but I'd like a fretless neck. In order to avoid removing frets and inlays, I'm considering buying a PBG-BN4RF fretless neck from the site, but I cannot seem to find the dimensions of the neck slot on the YB-4 body. I don't want to buy them both only to realise upon arrival that the fretless neck cannot fit into the YB-4 body, and I don't want to remove the frets from the neck that is included in the kit, nor cutting or filling the hole for the neck on the body.

Any help would be much appreciated. Links to both items:

I believe they are all the same width but it's best to email Adam directly to ask the question, as he can measure if necessary.

It does state on the neck page that PBG will sort out a neck that fits nicely if it's ordered as part of a kit, so there shouldn't be any nasty surprises.

You could custom order a fretless YB4 kit, (it shouldn't cost anything), but there is a very long wait for custom orders at the moment because of the virus.
