    Too much of a compromise. 3.5mm jacks are a bad idea for guitars. Adapters are even worse!

    Emivar, do you understand that you'd need to take the socket off the ovoid jack-plate before fitting it on the scratchplate, not as it is shown?

    All done. I ended up placing it on the pickguard. It was a tight fit and there was a problem with contact with the copper shielding tape, but that was easily sorted.
