    Gibson EB-0 Bass Kit

There are so many guitars I want to build....one year until retirement. Until then, this is my latest quest:

Build a replica of Gene Simmons's EB-0 bass. In the mid '70s, he took a '60s EB-0, not the SG shape, the Les Paul Jr. Shape, and heavily modded it. Mi think it looks great. I want to make one of those. It seems the LP DC Jr. Guitar kit body would work if a bass neck would fit in it.

I don't think much of anything new would have to be produced, just assemble a new kit from existing parts.

That’s a nice looking bass. I’d give one a go

IMHO, that’s what a Gibson bass should look like. Binding, gloss paint, chrome hardware. It doesn’t exist unless you make it. So there’s two options:

    1. Buy this bass, strip, add binding and refinish in gloss black. https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/USACYC...ass/Worn-Brown

    2. Cobble together kit parts and make one from scratch the best I can. - Hey, sounds fun.
