Number 35 is in the planning phase.

I like the idea of an ES style Bass.....just not a huge fan of the three point bridge setups on them.

This one...even on sale at the moment too....

Does tickle my fancy a lot.

Has anybody seen, or built one of these? I can't see any build threads on here....none are in the completed photo section.

Some ideas as to how the are to build, and how they sound, would be much appreciated. Thank You.

G'day Ozzie, pups and bridge look similar to the Hoffner Beatle Bass ones but on a bigger sound box.

I know nothing about basses except that they have less strings (helpful eh?).

But that looks a beautiful kit with some lovely grain detail.
I am about to build the ES-1GT so similar issues for me I guess.

Good luck if you go for it.

Feedback with any reasonable amp volume is going to be an issue, so more of a studio bass than a gigging one (except for backing more gentle types of music).

But that shouldn't stop you building one.
