    That’s a nice looking instrument you’ve got there. I like the black hardware and stain combination.

    I had another reaction to the lacquer and I had to strip it again this time I decided to Paint it Red with black hardware.

    Yep my own fault didn't let it dry long enough when staining.

    Just an update on the bass I couldn't leave it red so I went for a Vintage Punk look.
    I call it Poison Ivy after the same colour as my VE.
    I painted it with a base coat of White primer then used Guitar wax to help split the paint and sprayed it in above 30deg with green glitter paint so it would dry very fast and shrink and crack where the wax was.
    I thnk it made a nice effect I also scuffed up the neck and used the sticker inlays then coated the fretboard with CA Glue to seal it and make it smooth.

    Then I done 6 coats of pollyurothane laqure.
