    TL-1 First Build Perth

Hi All, I am a bit late to the party as I have just finished the build. That said, I thought the images may be of interest to some and reassure you that the AU$149 kit sounds amazing after a $50 local guitar shop setup (mostly intonation and action). Needless to say, the forum and youtube videos were an excellent source of information and my greatest fear was fitting the neck and bridge to ensure accurate scale length and string position on fretboard. I know people are unsure about basswood body, but I think it turned out well. I measured at least 5 times. Now keen to do another, likely an ST-1M or ST1-A.

Sweet build, I love the name you've given it.

It's a really simple, clean look to it and it really works. How does it sound?

    Great Job!

Firstly, thank you for the kind words. It sounds amazing on the neck pickup... I have 4 and 5yo kids otherwise I would have prepared an audio clip to upload by now! Lucky to have 5 seconds to myself. That said, I will gladly share as I think it is important people know how good these sound once complete. Got a $50 setup at a local guitar shop and the phone call from the guitar tech went like this: "I have a some good news and some bad news. The good news is I have set the guitar up perfectly and it sounds amazing. The bad news is I know you won't be buying a Tele (Player Series) from me." Ha ha ha… I will now be purchasing an ST-1A kit to work on...
