Not sure if this classes as my second or third build. I recently completed an SG shaped double neck (12 over 6) which was my first kit build. I think I learned a lot of lessons on that but I am quite pleased with it and it plays OK.
Ordered a Flying V Bass kit back in July 2019 and have been waiting for it to arrive (it was on back order for quite a while). Whilst waiting I have started a scratch build on a bass of my own design. So far the plans are drawn and the neck blank (5 piece tulip wood and iroko) has been glued up.
The V Bass kit arrived today and looks great. I think I will put the "from scratch" project on hold for a while.
Can't wait to get started. No doubt I will have loads of questions!
