Did you just sprinkle the flake on by hand, or did you use something to get a more even spread of it?
Yeah I just laid down a coat of clear and once it was a bit tacky I sprinkled the flake on. Then just went over it with more clear.....a lot more clear. In hindsight I'd use .015 or.008 sized flake as this was .025 which looks great but you have to use an extremely thick coat of clear to get it even. I'm still going to need to do a few more coats of clear to get the neck level and it's already had an entire can dumped on it.

Just a few more progress shots.
I've now got the front and sides close to finished.
I ran out of flake so the back of the body is still bare and I'm now waiting on more to arrive in the post.
Also still need a lot more coats of clear on the top and sides as its sunken in to the flake quite a bit.
So while I'm waiting I decided to do a mock up.

    Holy Mother Of Sparkle!!!

    That's outrageous (but cool!)

You need to make a matching bass & drum kit and hit the road! People would come just to see the gear!

It just needs some “mother of toilet seat” hardware and about 15 more switches and knobs and it could be an Italian made guitar from the ‘60s.
