I love the sense of satisfaction that you get when it all works the way you planned, and what you’ve built matches the picture you had in your head.
So next step is to map out the fretboard and rebuild my fretting jig to accomodate the full thickness neck blank, then deliberately cut some frets on the piss! (That’ll make a nice change, normally I do that by accident)

I can’t help but think those nuts are very recessed, and there really can’t be much wood between the nut and the pocket at all. ‘Wafffer-thin’ to quote Monty Python. I’d be concerned that they’ll pull through the wood once you get the strings on. It’s the bolt that‘s furthest from the neck pocket that takes almost all the strain, and that appears to have the most countersinking/least wood thickness to it.
A valid concern, I’ve used low head screws for the reason you’ve outlined. The curve at that point of the body heel is such that there may be as little as 1.5 times the head depth of the bolt in wood beneath it.
A similar story with the recessed screws on the burned strat build. It may well prove their undoing; we can but wait and see!

I had to strip this back to correct some errant inserts (the exact one you'd pointed out above Simon and the immediately behind it). While doing that, I checked the material depth under the head of the screws in both of those forward positions.
The lower one has 14mm of material between the head of the machine screw and the flange of the stainless insert, and the upper one (most forward) has 16mm. Thats roughly 1/3 of the body thickness for each, which I believe should be okay.
If I had more time, and fewer projects I could set up a test to replicate the string tension effect on that arrangement, but it will be what it will be at this stage.
