As reported earlier in this thread about the Telecaster labelled headstock on my birthday gifted Stratocaster Deluxe, well, Fender have finally 'officially' requested that the guitar gets sent to them for repair/correction. I figure I've got about 24hrs before it leaves my hands....

There is no way I would be sending that back and that opinion was echoed by the owner of the local music store when I told him about it, and yes he does stock Fender guitars
