Been doing some sanding, sanding, sanding and....yet more..sanding.
I hear you, I have two sanding at the moment, FrankenWashie and an SV-1.
Yay for SANDING!
FrankenLab
Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.
I wouldn't get that carried away Doc and Frankie, there are much more exciting parts of the build than sanding !
Current Builds and status
scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck
Completed builds
scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in
Yeah I know, but nothing can compare to rubbing a sanding-block back and forth against a piece of wood, it strangely has a relaxing effect on me, some other guitar builders might get a bit antsy, but not me, I don't know about Frankie though.
I found my ultimate state of Zen through sanding.

haha no worries Doc but I bet if you had built about 60 odd guitars the joy of sanding (what an oxymoron haha) wears off pretty quick !

That's true, I guess it's because I haven't built that many guitars, I'm still a newbie at this guitar-building business, even though I attained the rank of Overlord Of Music, I'm glad I got into this guitar-building stuff cause I've found it fun so far, yes I have had some setbacks but it's been great so far, my guitar-build collection isn't as extensive as yours though.
Wouldn't mind building a Flying V guitar that has a Floyd Rose on it one day, by Flying V I mean the traditional Gibson one, I saw one in a magazine in the 90's and thought it looked cool.
