Hey Wokka
That one came from a Local Liquor in Canberra. Very hoppy, 8%, and cans are a pint...a little dangerous
Cheers

That pup surround is gorgeous DB. This bass is just oozing so much class. I wonder how it would sound in a tropical environment? Happy to try it and let you know! I only offer this service in the interest of determining the boundaries of your product.
It looks like it was made by a machine or something....but other than blowing smoke up yr ass I feel that beautiful bass would be far more suited to the temperate climbs of the South Australian region. Therefore out of the goodness of my heart I am offering my custodial services as a debt of gratitude to you, guitar builders and musicians throughout this fair land for now and evermore.../<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from lawry on May 26, 2014, 19:29

Perhaps it needs a summer and winter residence. This way it will be out of extremes at all times. Let's synch our calendars. We'll let you know where to send it DB.

Cheers Bargie, I very carefully marked out the shape, drilled holes close to the inside corners and then cut it out with my trusty scroll saw..
Then very gently rasped it clean and shaped the outside edges, followed by sanding, sanding etc etc
BTW, Perth is the perfect balance of QLD and SA 8-)
Was not at all fond of that big ugly black pup just sitting there....
Time to make a cover 8-)
First step is to drum sand an offcut to thickness. To do this I double sided stickytaped the offcut onto a flat chunk of ply.
Once I had one side flat I carefully slid a spatula under the cover to get it off the board.
Then flip it over and repeat the process.
Two mm thick 8O

^Couldn't have put it better.
'As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.'
This may be true in a purely climatic sense but a bass like that needs to get out and about in a more cultural way in order to see the world, live the life and see the other coasts of OZ. Bargie and I are offering this as a favour so that you needn't feel indebted to us in any way. :P/<\\/p>[]<\\/p>/Quote from dingobass on May 27, 2014, 08:18
