While this "log" guitar is a bit slightly. It's one of the most important guitars in history. Les Paul literally cut one of his archtop guitars in half and replaced the center with a log so he could mount the pickups to and reduce feedback. Or something like that.
Anyway, that is pretty much the first concept build of what latter became the legend that is the Gibson Les Paul.
I have to agree though, Gibson have come up with some real shockers.

The "Log" sure is historical... but all apart and naked like that... it's Ug-Lee! lol. I believe the amp was built into the section that is semi-disconected...?
