Okay, I've got heaps of time so I'll get a quick and dirty demo sorted so you can hear the Bassline I laid down, stay tuned.

Here we go, here's a link to a quick and dirty demo of what I've got so far, just the drum tracks with the second-take Bassline I've just laid down, I know that the audio is probably not the best quality, after all it's just a rough mix and I still have lots of work to do to polish it up a bit, but hopefully you get the general idea of what I'm aiming for:

We're now on 88 pages, only another 12 to go till we get to 100.

Hey Doc that sounds great. Turn the drums down a bit ,bring up de bass and do the guitars you got a winner. You could break up ya posts into smaller sections you'll get there quicker lol

Cheers mate, will do, I'll also do some EQing on the channels to make space in the mix, and anything else I reckon it needs, once I've got the full mix sounding good I'll put it through the mastering process, just had a thought, maybe one of the other members might like to record a vocal track, or collaborate in some way, I'm quite open to someone collaborating.

sounds good Doc, wow is that 30 bar blues you played E for about 39 seconds !

nice drum track KB, you love your cymbals !

I'd break up the last 2 bars with a B and A note so you know when the 12 bars finish. It will make it much easier to follow the rythym guitar

Could this be the start of a collab section on PBG forum?

I reckon that would be a wicked idea, I wonder what Adam would have to say about that?

I reckon I could what you're suggesting there Wokka, yeah, I was mostly going by the feel of the groove, I probably did play E for a bit longer than I should have in some parts of the Bassline, but that's easily fixed.

Hi Woks they are all separate tracks I'm sure by the time Doc sorts his mix out those cymbals will fade into insignificance and be covered in glorious guitar riffs n chords and all manner of magic.
On the drum tracks all separate stems you've got kick, snare, toms, floor tom, overhead mics left and right.two shakers and tambourine.

Hahahaha....what I'll do is get all the drum tracks to gel with the guitars so that the mix sounds nice and fat, I just applied a Focusrite EQ plugin to the Kick tracks and Snare tracks and already they're sounding really good, the Kicks are thumping and the Snares are sitting well with the Kicks, I brought the levels for the Toms and Overheads down a bit and it all sounds a lot more balanced.

On the Bassline track I've got an EQ plugin followed by a Compressor plugin, and I've selected the Bass preset on both, I've also got a limiter plugin on the Bassline track too, but I might remove it cause the Bassline sounds louder without it.

Here's a screenshot of the mix in FL Studio so you can see how the levels are set:

    Update:

I just did a quick little edit on the Bassline so that it comes in at the start of the 8th bar after the 7-bar intro, I think it sounds good that way.
