Yeah, pretty much. I may have outsmarted myself by buying a neck pickup to use in the bridge position, reasoning being the string spacing on the bridge is narrower than stock one and pole spacing on neck pickup is narrower than bridge pickup. May have to reverse polarity like Pabs did to get it all to work right, worry about that when I get to it.

that's a sneaky trick Grant using the neck pup in the bridge so the poles line up !

All theoretical so far, will find out when all together if it was a good move or not.

Thanks very much guys. Been sanding with 2000 grit paper trying to take off the bare minimum to get rid of any bits in the finish, could probably sand more but don't want to go through the top coats.
