Wow Woks! That is an amazing finish.... Just goes to prove that there is always a work around.....
Wayne, your Axe of Doom made me smile and laugh, thanx Buddykeep up the good work!
Wokka, Wayne, amazing builds guys. The finish on the iceman is just amazing. I've never seen anything like it before - I just love the colour you've managed to produce! Very nice indeed. Wayne your artwork on the Avenge is fantastic - great spray skills! Done with an airbrush I assume? I just can't go past a BC with attitude. Great work guys.
cheers,
Gav.

cheers everyone for the nice comments.
Wayne used spray cans to get the effect, just takes many layers and objects to block the paint. Here's a video I took when he did a Paris at night picture using a similar technique

Hey everyone, you'll have to forgive me if I stuff this post up, it's my first time on here as well as my first time build.
Anyway this is an LP-1M "desert burst" finished using Behlen nitro spray toner/lacquer (Red Mahogany & Fruitwood)
I kept the hardware pretty standard apart from some Kluson Deluxe vintage tuners, Schaller strap locks and a Gibson style truss rod cover.
I gotta say I had an awesome time putting this axe together, it really is quite addictive and I've already got my next build planned.
I've gotta be honest I was somewhat dubious about how these things were gonna play, but after finally receiving the last piece of the puzzle today (in the form of 6 little 10mm adapter bushes for the tuners) I strung her up, did a quick setup, and WOW, not bad at all. I think I'll probably throw some Seymour Duncans in somewhere down the line but otherwise I'm pleasantly surprised (and hooked)
wow looks good bargeloobs, almost looks like one out of the factory. Very good effort for a first build.
Best of luck !

Hey thanks man, it was definitely a massive learning curve with a few hiccups along the way but at least I'll know what NOT to do next time round.
That lp is gorgeous.
'As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.'
Hey bargeloobs, firstly, that is a sensational build. If that's your first, then I'm looking forward to seeing where you go from here.
Secondly, I had to edit your third photo, of the headstock, we cannot publish any trademarks. It's ok for you to have that brand name on your guitar for your own use, it falls under fair use, but we could be liable for trademark violation for advertising it. Hope you understand.

Wowsers Guys, what a great month NOT to be a judge. lol.
Lozza, Gav, Scott, Johnny, Dieter, Woks, Wayne and Barge, on any given month all you guys could have been winners! Truly, every one is a professional quality build.
I am absolutely Gobsmacked at how each month the standard of entries gets higher and higher.
Well done gentlemen.
Cheers
rob
Wow! bargeloobs that's one pretty guitar! (I'm curious to know what's been photoshopped from the headstock though ;-) )
